Welcome
Welcome to Christ Church San Marcos. No matter where you find yourself on your journey of faith you are welcome here!
We comprise a diverse community and we embrace all people who are seeking a deeper understanding of life, love and God. We are young, we are older; we are straight, we are gay; we are couples, we are singles; we speak English, we speak Spanish; we are traditional and non-traditional family units; we are long time church members, we are just starting our spiritual journeys; and together we are the Christ Church San Marcos family.
We are also known around town as the banner church because of the signs and banners that we hang on our flag poles and front gates, which are always open, in support of folks from all walks of life, from every tribe, language, nation, and people. We especially support those who are questioning or feel disenfranchised in our community and world.

Our regular Sunday services are in English at 8 and 10 am and in Spanish at 12:30 pm. On special occasions (about 10 times each year) we worship together in a festive bilingual service. We are one community of faith that speaks two languages. Please join us! At Christ Church San Marcos, all are welcome!
Who we are?
Tarrytown is a community nestled next to the Mario Cuomo Bridge and the Hudson River. We are blessed with a beautiful historic church and chapel in the heart of Tarrytown, NY. From our incredible stained-glass windows to our pipe organ, Christ Church is recognized for its dramatic architecture and interior space, high quality musical theatrical offerings, and prophetic voice in both word and sacrament.
We celebrate the history and beauty of being Washington Irving’s home church. Founded in 1836, today Christ Church glows with the energy of a church family that strives to practice love for each other, our community, the nation, and all of our neighbors.
We also celebrate and embrace a wide range of people, ages, beliefs, and needs. For the most part, we dress casually. We welcome you to join in worship, classes, prayer, and all our other activities. Or just stop by to sit and reflect.
