The Choir of Christ Church
is open to anyone with a love of singing and willingness to serve.
Reading music is not a requirement.
The choir rehearses weekly on Thursdays at 7:30 pm in St. Mark’s Chapel and sings
for the 10:00 am Service of Holy Eucharist each Sunday from September through Trinity Sunday.
Our repertoire encompasses music of the Renaissance period to Spirituals and Contemporary choral works.
During the summer season, the choir meets 30 minutes prior to the service to rehearse hymns
and a short anthem.
Summer choir is a wonderful time for the musically-curious to explore singing with us.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Singing for the Self-Conscious began as a series of Zoom sessions
covering the basics of singing and musicianship.
We meet on zoom each week, and while singing we keep our microphones muted.
This class is for those that want to make a joyful noise,
but aren’t sure if they’re ready for others to hear it just yet!
