Nursery Care

Although Nursery/Preschool care is available during the 10:00 a.m. service, children of all ages are welcome at all points during our worship, (we even keep books and crayons handy, and have a rocking chair and crawling run in a central part of the church for our youngest). Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the altar for Holy Communion or a blessing.

Godly Play

Children age 5 and above attend Sunday school during 10 o'clock church and use Bible stories and play to instill in little ones a familiarity with scripture and spirit.

Teens

Sundays after the 10:00 a.m. service, youth aged 10 to 18 read and discuss the scripture from the service, which often leads us to current events and a range of topics. Throughout our discussions, we encourage the free exchange of ideas, questions and beliefs.

Acolytes

Acolytes assist at services as torch-, gospel- and cross-bearers. All members from age 9 through adult may be acolytes.

Youth Group

Youth groups balance fellowship, faith development, service and fun in a mix of activities. In the last year, we’ve had

  • a Good Friday overnight lock-in
  • movie nights
  • a bake sale to raise money for parishioners rebuilding hurricane-ravaged Mississipi as part of RiverBuild 2008
  • a toy sale as part of the church fair
  • a U2 Eucharist
  • a party to redecorate the Teen Room in the church hall complete with a graffiti wallr

Young people in 6th to 12thgrades are welcome to join us.
